About Fred Neumann
I have been building companies, communities
and business relationships for 25 years.
I know the founder journey because I have lived it: building from limited resources, raising capital, developing partnerships, creating communities and navigating an acquisition.
At 25, my first internship contributed to the company being sold for US$100,000. The investors
then hired me as their first Head of Community.
In 2016, I arrived in Canada as an immigrant without a local network. I founded PsyMood,
recruited 780 mental health specialists speaking 43 languages, raised $950,000 and sold the
company in 2024.
Across my career, I have connected founders, professionals, institutions, communities and
business partners around shared opportunities.
That is the craft: understanding what a company needs,
finding the right people and turning relationships into
progress.
Services
Four ways we help founders
grow
Every engagement begins with the founder’s actual challenge. We then determine whether the best answer is strategic support, a talent search, a curated introduction or continued participation in the community.
01
Consulting
Strategic guidance grounded in founder experience.
Direct consulting with Fred in business development, partnerships, go-to-market strategy, community building and founder positioning. Engagements can be advisory or embedded, depending on the stage and needs of the company.
02
Recruitment
The right professional for the challenge and stage.
We identify and select trusted professionals for fractional roles, defined projects and selected permanent positions. We focus on context and fit, not on sending a large volume of resumes.
Small, invitation-based gatherings that connect founders with professionals selected for their expertise, relevance and potential fit. Every event is designed around real business challenges and valuable relationships.
04
Community
A trusted network that becomes more valuable over time.
A curated community of founders, consultants and senior professionals built on trust, generosity and complementary expertise. Participation is selected to protect the quality of the network.
How it works
From challenge to the right connection
The Founders Craft is not an open marketplace. Every recommendation begins with context, judgment and trust.
1
Start with the challenge
We learn what you are building, what feels stuck and what outcome matters now.
2
Define the right support
We determine whether you need consulting, fractional talent, project expertise, recruitment or a relevant introduction.
3
Curate the fit
We identify people whose experience, working style and availability match the opportunity.
4
Create the connection
We introduce the right people with context and a clear reason to meet.
5
Stay involved
When appropriate, we support the relationship, engagement or project as it develops.
Our principle
We do not build databases of candidates.
We cultivate relationships with trusted professionals.
